Help Build the Future of Girl Scouting in Southern Illinois!
Are you passionate about empowering girls, building community connections, and supporting volunteers? Join our team as a Community Engagement Manager and play a key role in growing the Girl Scout experience by recruiting new girl and adult members and extending Girl Scouting to all girls across all demographic groups.
Assigned Territory: O'Fallon/Shiloh/Fairview Heights, Lebanon/Mascoutah/Scott Air Force Base, New Athens/Marissa, St. Libory/Freeburg
What You'll Do:
- Recruit and retain girl and adult volunteers through community outreach, events, and relationship building
- Serve as the primary connection between Girl Scout staff, volunteers, families, schools, and community organizations
- Train, onboard, and support volunteers to ensure a welcoming and successful Girl Scout experience
- Build partnerships with schools, churches, and community groups to expand Girl Scout opportunities
- Plan and lead membership recruitment events and promote programs, camps, training, awards, and volunteer opportunities
- Identify community needs and develop strategies to grow Girl Scout membership and engagement

Other Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, and a minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a related field with volunteer management and support
Must have a valid driver's license and positive driving record
Willingness to:
- Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and travel as the work requires
- Accept the Girl Scout Promise and Law and become a member of Girl Scouts of the USA
- Perform tasks involving light physical effort (lifting/carrying 20-25 pounds)
